Tourism Export Council of New Zealand

We were selected to work with the former Inbound Tour Operators Council (ITOC) through the process of their rebranding as the Tourism Export Council of New Zealand. An established travel industry organisation that has represented New Zealand inbound tourism for more than forty years, ITOC wanted to better reflect the role of tourism as a key New Zealand export industry.

The rebranding project included the design of a new logo for the Tourism Export Council of New Zealand and its youth branch, the Young Tourism Export Council, and a suite of supporting brand collateral. We also designed a trade show banner and promotional hand-out for the launch of the new branding at TRENZ (Tourism Industry Rendezvous New Zealand).

The Tourism Export Council of New Zealand was also seeking a rebuild of its website to make it more user-friendly for both the client and the end user. We designed and built a new website for the organisation, incorporating online listings for over 200 members and numerous channels to facilitate a dialogue between the organisation and its members.

We were subsequently commissioned to produce the Tourism Export Council of New Zealand’s annual directory of members; liaising directly with members to obtain artwork. The publication is available as a PDF download on www.tourismexportcouncil.org.nz and was included as an insert within New Zealand Trade Manual in order to benefit from our distribution channels.

The Tourism Export Council of New Zealand project required a very considered approach in order to ensure that one of New Zealand’s most respected tourism industry organisations retained its identity while establishing its continuing relevance four decades after it was originally established.
