Autumn 21

Food, fashion and festivals

Cityscape and Flavours of Christchurch have come together to make a food baby! SOMO Creative’s flagship magazine for everything Christchurch has joined forces with the local food bible to deliver an issue that’s jammed with food content as well as everything you’ve come to expect from our fashion, home, lifestyle, culture and events coverage.

The foodies among us will be thrilled with the plethora of exclusive recipes direct from top Christchurch chefs, including desserts, appetisers and mega-delicious mains. We can’t wait to hit the kitchen and try out the Risotto ai Funghi from Francesca’s Italian Kitchen’s Chef Diego Ghidetti. You’ll also find the ultimate guides to Ōtautahi dining, drinking, caffeinating and gourmet shopping.

We talk to a couple of hits on the local music scene – Nat from There’s a Tuesday and Lorna from Volts – about touring, recording and having a good time in 2021; and touring act Estère tells us about philosophy and her new album, Archetypes. Check out upcoming not-to-be-missed events including electro-symphonic spectacular Synthony, the ever-inspiring Christchurch Art Show and a special gig where heavy metallers Alien Weaponry will join forces with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra.

Cityscape has you covered for autumn and winter fashion choices, with forecasts of the latest and upcoming trends, and a selection of clothes, accessories and styles for men and women, whether you’re looking for casual wear or dressed to the nines. If you’re looking for home inspiration, check out our kitchen colour guide, and new furniture and decorating advice that will have you ready to host your next dinner party in no time.

On the wellbeing front, read about shaping up your life in innovative ways, whether it’s finding a gym that works for you, getting involved with yoga or even changing up your cooking regime.

And finally, if all this Christchurch goodness just isn’t enough, we’ve got a travel guide to make the most of southern fashion destination Wanaka.
