La Rochelle Motel is a quiet motel near the heart of Akaroa that feels like it’s in its own little world. The motel has a private garden and a stream running down one side. It’s a great launching point for exploring the township of Akaroa, heading into the hills on foot, or driving around Banks Peninsula.
Owners Erica and Trevor asked SOMO Creative to build a new website with modern design that shows off the best of the motel and entices visitors to book rooms. The design heavily features images and offers up the motel’s features and advantages in short, easy-to-read snippets accompanied by attractive photos. We also created a blog where Erica and Trevor can upload information about upcoming events in Akaroa, and wrote an informational section about things to do around Akaroa and Banks Peninsula. Finally, we incorporated the motel’s existing booking system into the new website.
